Inspired

I had something completely different in mind for what I would wear today, but early in the morning my mind decided to change its ‘mind’. It happens. So I drifted toward one of my new purchases and amazing finds, the Elodie Lily Cardigan. For a mere $29.95 this beauty, something I never thought I’d own, became mine!!! A few weeks back I was on Roxy’s blog and someone commented on one of the posts that they had seen this cardi in my size at a store in NJ. Completely random, but I called them right away and they still had it, an xs, waiting just for me!! This is why I enjoy that community so much, everyone is posting helpful info to connect Anthro lovers to the goods! Too good to be true, and yesterday it came in and it was so pretty. I can’t believe how blown away I get with certain clothes, but it’s vivacious (for a cardi) and the buttons are jewels.
As for the outfit- completely inspired by Kim at Anthroholic, I am shameless and give all the credit to her for thinking of piecing it all together. Thank you Kim for the inspiration, as usual!!

Crazy day at school today. There was a career fair at my department and just the whole process makes me uncomfortable. I really don’t enjoy selling myself to strangers, or having to come up with ideas and facts on why I should be selected as their summer intern, and why I stand out from all the rest. I also know what it’s like when that face-to-face contact isn’t made and my resume is sent out to the email atmosphere of the unknown, so must keep things in perspective. While on a positive note I was able to learn about new opportunities and now have essay topics to write about, it was also a reminder of how I don’t enjoy being interviewed.
