Local entertainment

Madewell sweatshirt dress, the zipcode booties/Anthro easy-peasy blazer, sparked agate collar, checkerbead belt, cockle shell tights

I’ve been intermittenly absent round these parts because lately Dr. Love and I have been on a streak of checking out local events. Last week we caught DJ Shadow live and spent Easter night rolling on the floor laughing with Aziz Ansari as he stopped by Charlottesville on his Buried Alive tour. And last night, we were enchanted by the Carolina Chocolate Drops who delivered authentic folk melodies and had the whole venue stomping along to the string-band sounds. While we are exhausted and haven’t had much time to collect ourselves (or our humble abode) I feel so lucky to be living in a town that enjoys providing its community with quality entertainment. There is always an eclectic offering of theatre, music, and entertainment ready for the choosing on our part. I simply can’t wait for what’s to come in the summertime (think Shakespeare on the beautiful grounds of Sweet Briar college), but in the meantime, I’m counting down the days until the Monticello Wine Trail Festival . Hopefully by then the temperatures will heat up so I can properly adorn myself in a new Anthro dress šŸ™‚

    • Thanks Lisa!! Sometimes we forget too but we got lucky this time around and tuned it at the right moment! It’s just such a nice break to be in the presence of live art, whether it’s music or comedy šŸ™‚
