Lacey Lacey

So while yesterday I was sporting a sleeveless summer dress, today was cool enough to finally wear my newest addition to cardi land and sip on hot cocoa. Global warming anyone?
It is so strange to be wearing pants in May because usually during this time I’m wearing a bikini, lounging at the pool. These are the times when I miss Florida and being tan 9 months out of the year. When I was younger, I used to lay out for hours (with sporadic sunscreen use) and get really dark. Don’t know how I did it because it would get so hot that it’d be down-right uncomfortable, but I was a devoted little teenager, driven to get 5 shades darker than my usual. Currently going through beach withdrawl and maybe, just maybe, it will get warm again this weekend so that we can make that dream a reality.
Oh how I love this blouse and have had it for a while but because of its length and shape, I can’t tuck it in and it didn’t pair so well with the full skirts I’ve been prancing around in. Today was meant to be for the blouse and cardi to meet one another and keep each other company.

  1. Now I have total regrets for returning this blouse. I hadn't reached for it, and back it had to go. Boo.You look positively radiant in these photos. I love the outfit, but most of all, I love your smile!

  2. Dea! I love, love, love it! I had no idea what to put under my navy lattice cardi, now I have to track down that blouse! You look great with your hair pulled back! 🙂

  3. You look lovely, Dea! I just bought that cardigan this weekend and now I'll have to pair it with a lacy top too…thanks for the inspiration!

  4. Love the whole outfit! I wish I had that Budding T-straps…I just ordered that cardigan and I'm getting lots of ideas to wear it lately… from you, Cat, Kim and Tien. 🙂

  5. now see, that cardigan is pretty but I had no idea what to wear it with. That lace top and shoes and look great with it! You are so creative putting these looks together!!

Now I found you returned it- too bad, because I think it would have been beautiful on youloraine- oh yey, so glad you like it! I love this cardi and glad you got it. For sure you can pair with lacey tops underneath. Try the doiley top as well!bronzi- too bad about no longer having the blouse but maybe if you called CS?? Sometimes I've really lucked out mia- glad I could inspire and definitely wish you happy outfits with this cute cardi!jcrewphd- isn't the inspiration among blogs just the best? I too get new ideas on the daily. This is what I call a versatile piece!tara- awww, that meant so much to me! Glad to make you smile my dear!pamela- you're so funny! I have to admit that I too was nervous as to how to pair it and the hidden hue blouse was a very impromptu reach!

  7. Adorable outfit! I love the top with the lattice cardigan. I haven't yet succumbed to buying that piece but it is getting harder and harder with so many bloggers sporting it and looking so cute. I too would try to get as tan as possible as early as May but I lived in PA which made it pretty impossible to be successful in that plight til June.

  8. Dea: i have the doily blouse so I am going to pail that with some skinny jeans since it has gotten colder her in NJ. However I think the Hidden Hue will look better.do you happen to have the item # of the Hidden Hue? I may try to track it down. Finally, I really enjoy your blog and have gotten lots of inspiration from it.

  9. I'm going to have to copy this look Dea! I have everything except the same Anthro shirt, but one very similar. Thanks for the outfit inspiration! I like your hair pulled back too – you have such a pretty face.

  10. I am growing weaker, and weaker for that cardigan with each blog I read. You look beautiful, Dea – the sweater and blouse are perfect together – glad they got to meet up, today 😉

  11. You've just inspired me again with an outfit! I bought that blouse last weekend (do you know if it's had a second cut? would love the PA) and I have the green blooming lattice. You look amazing!

  12. The blouse looks PERFECT with the cardigan and skinny jeans! Absolutely perfect! If you have a blazer, I bet it'd look really good under that too. And how nutty that yesterday you were in a sundress and now you're in a cardigan! At least you look STUNNING in both, Dea!I used to lay out in the sun and get darker too! Now I just burn, haha! Oh, how times have changed…

  13. You look absolutely divine in this, Dea! That hidden hue blouse is amazing. I wish it was hanging in my closet. And, that cardigan! It's my new favorite thing 🙂

  14. HI Dea,I just got that Cardi and now I need that top! lol… You and Kim are responsible for half my wages going to Anthro's pocket. I'm so sorry you are going through beach withdrawals. I am in FL and let me tell you, it's not pleasant right now. I walk out of my house and within seconds I smell like I ran a marathon. The beaches are nice, but not for long with the oil spill on our doorstep 😦 So sad. I think you have it way better right now! 🙂

  15. Dea: thank you so so much and I was able to snag the blouse from CA store that had my size. I am so excited and can't wait to steal your styling and wear it!These Anthro blogs and most importantly the owners of the blogs and the community is fantastic!

  16. bronzi- yey!! I'm so excited you were able to locate it. Really glad I could help and enjoy!! I agree with you- the blog community is really helpful and just a pleasure!

  17. Oooh, I love this outfit! I have the Blooming Lattice in green, but now you are really making me want the blue too. I love your hair back too. It really shows off your pretty face nicely.

  18. Adorable outfit! I love the top with the lattice cardigan.
