Can’t Miss Me!

Today I had to attend a conference and clearly wanted to stand out- I mean look at these colors- in your face! But that’s how I like it sometimes, especially in a sea of black slacks, capris and monotone shirts. I was on the fence regarding the color of this shirt, but now I’m glad it’s in my possession.

  1. I love the combo of colors! One of my favorite things to do at academic conferences is be the only person not wearing safe neutrals in a sea of ill-fitting suits.

  2. Ooh, I bought that tee last week during the 20% off sale promotion, can't wait for it to arrive! I love that you chose to shake up the suit norm at your conference with such fun bold colors Dea 🙂

  3. I actually really love the whole conservative silhouette + fun colors combo, I think it's just the right way to stand out in a sea of blacks and greys without being inappropriate. That, and you always look wonderful in JCrew pencil skirts!

  4. Nice look. I'm in another industry, but at conference, the men are always in taupe khaki's, white dress shirt and if not too hot a blue jacket….talk about a uniform. It's nice being a girl isn't it?

  5. I'm obsessed with yellow right now. I love that color on you and what a fun outfit to wear to a conference. I live in North Carolina too! I go to the Southpoint Anthro alot.

  6. Lovely outfit. I can guarantee you were the best dressed at your conference! If you don't mind me asking Dea, what do you do for a living? 🙂
